I just got back from my Denver business Hotel (a copywrite lawyer thing over there) but I wanted to talk about agreat hotel in Hawaii also. The Hyatt Regency Resort, located on the beautiful “Garden Island” of Kauai is, along with other awesome hotels like the Radisson or the Hanalei Bay resort where an Elvis Presley movie was shot, for instance, among Kauai’s top such spots. This superlative luxury resort and spa is situated on the incomparable south shore of Kauai,  close to the scenic ‘ShipWrecks Beach’ which is quite an exotic location in and of itself. In  the general area are some fine tourist destinations such as Salt Pond National Park, the Swinging Bridge, Spouting Horn, the Kauai Coffee Plantation and various movie locations as well. Furthermore, there are a number of beachfront condominiums plus plush homes nearby. The next little town over called Old Koloa Town is basically a former sugar cane producing area. It is quite interesting to simply observe spots there like the old territory area post office plus more landmarks with dates etched on them dating from the 1800’s. All in all,  Koloa is only about 10 minutes away and it features a very charming little shopping center which I think you will enjoy. All in all, it is a unique location to simply sit down and enjoy a slice a pizza or perhaps an ice cream cone and simply stroll around the grounds.
Now going back to the Hyatt Regency itself, it has a great business center so you will not have to a international calls from cell phone or your internet phone, softphone or for that matter any mobile phone. because they have Wi fi, and v and voip as well. Save your calling card or cell phone international calls bill. it’s lush grounds are full of canals and other types of related waterways which, while man made, look very natural. To me, this appears more at home with the genuine article of the islands than some of the more formal old school European-type of hotels that you tend to see in some other locations.
